An alternative (drug-free) activity for our community's middle and high schoolers will be held with ZAP ZONE of Utica on Saturday, December 13, 2008 11:30 pm to 6 am Sunday. This fundraiser will support the local Rochester Area America's PRIDE Team's ability to offer education, community outreach & service, leadership and attend the PRIDE YOUTH PROGRAMS' annual conference. PRIDE Youth Programs (PYP) is the nation's longest running and largest peer-to-peer organization devoted to the prevention of drug abuse and violence prevention through education. Founded in 1977, PYP is headquartered in Fremont, Michigan. Using the vehicles of public speaking, drama, dance and song, teams offer programs for students in kindergarten through college. PRIDE members reach out to their peers, younger students, and the community with an effective commitment to stay healthy and drug free.
